DLSR Announces Class of 2028 Southern 5-Star Recruit Selections

With the September 9th open period upon us at midnight, we are pleased to announce the DSLR 5-Star Recruit selections for the 2028 class. Most of the 35 players in our 5-star group are southern kids we have seen play a lot over the years, proving to us that they have the ability to become successful college lacrosse players at the highest levels. Over the course of time, these athletes have demonstrated the ability to excel against the fiercest competition, and they are the players you expect to make a big play or take a big shot in the final seconds with the game on the line. We anticipate this group will make a fairly immediate impact on the college scene for whatever schools they ultimately decide to enroll with. Many on this list will have their phones buzzing all day tomorrow, and we expect to see a few of them commit to D1 powerhouses in the coming days and weeks. While we think most of these players will fill spots on D1 rosters, and that all of them possess the ability to play D1, the sport often dictates that some will go to D2, D3 or MCLA programs and that is amazing too. In this day and age, every level of lacrosse has great competition and DSLR will be rooting for you guys no matter where you find the best fit for you is. As Coach V. once said long ago, find the best fit for YOURSELF academically AND athletically, then enjoy the chance to go earn yourself an education and the opportunity to compete on the lacrosse field, anywhere that happens to be the right fit is a good place to be. Excited to see where these 35 dominant southern players will end up in the future.

The 2028 class is very deep with goaltending and the South is no different. We have rewarded 5 southern goalies with 5-Star status which we realize is a lot, but we also feel we could've added another 5 that were also deserving of serious consideration for that status as well. Very deep goaltending class.

Also coming soon after, we will be dropping the top 2028 players position by position from our DSLR Big Board which consists of over 500 southern recruits representing all 9 states in the Deep South.
